Insurance Coverage of Regenerative Procedures:
Generally regenerative procedures are not covered by insurance firms. However, we accept all PPO plans such as Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Sigma and any other PPO plans.
It’s most likely that if a procedure is not approved by the FDA, insurance companies will not cover the treatment.
The authority has allowed a few stem cell procedures where physicians take blood from umbilical cords and insurance firms may cover these procedures.
It’s been more than 10 years that the FDA has allowed the bone marrow transfers for diseases including sickle cell anemia.
Advice for patients:
Application of pre-approval would include patient’s medical history, the health provider’s legal position and the exact nature of the stem cell procedure.
At Stem Cell Capital, we also help our patients in finding suitable funding options for their treatments.
